Fred Cogley (right). Fred Cogley went on to become one of Ireland’s most loved TV sports presenters. During his time at Raidió Éireann, Harry presented some 20 sponsored radio programmes. On one occasion, when a conflict of sponsors prevented him from heading up a programme, he passed the job on to a young continuity announcer whose talents he had noted.
