The Photo Album of the Irish – Washington
Working with our partners at the Irish Embassy in Washington DC Gallery of Photography Ireland Gallery of Photography Ireland invited people of Irish heritage to contribute to the Photo Album of the Irish archive.
Contributors brought their family photographs to our archive scanning session which took place in the Embassy of Ireland on 8th May 2019. Tanya Kiang and Louise Donnelly from Gallery of Photography made high quality digital scans of the photographs and started the process of recording the details of each photograph. The family photographs were uploaded to the project website. Edited selections were included in Photo Album of the Irish U.S. Edition book – which features a foreward contributed by Ambassador Mulhall.
